Spoon Carving Workshop - Postponed Until further notice
Turn a branch from a hedgerow into a spoon for your kitchen. No experience necessary. Suitable for all ages but children should be accompanied by an adult. £70 per adult. £35 per child. Lunch included.

About the event
This workshop is run by Andy Roberts who is passionate about using natural materials and sharing his love for traditional artisan crafts and woodworking techniques. You will start with a branch sustainably sourced from a local hedgerow. Andy will teach you how to safely whittle it into a basic spoon shape. You will then learn how to shape the bowl of the spoon, add detail (to your own design) and prepare it for culinary use.
The workshop will take place outdoors (undercover if necessary), so please ensure that you are dressed for the weather and that you are wearing comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.
Hot and cold drinks will be available all day and lunch will be prepared over an open fire. Please let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements.
Tools, made by Andy himself, will be provided and are available to buy at the end of the session, if you would like to continue with your spoon making skills at home! If you are left handed please let us know in advance so that Andy can have those available for you.
